This Thompson Center manufactured third variation brass trigger guard is for the later Hawken muzzle loading rifles and is in very good condition with light wear and a moderate tarnish. The third variation trigger guard has a smaller rear mounting platform than the first variation trigger guard which fits the stocks with the smaller rear mounting recess and a threaded hole behind the front mounting screw which is used for the long machined screw used on very late forward upper tangs and travels through the wrist of the stock attaching to the trigger guard.
